Hot Mop Roofing
Hot-Mop roofing requires the use of molten tar for the installation of a granulated cap sheet which creates the roofing system. Our experienced team members will heat a tar kettle that will be used to melt the roofing asphalt. The cap sheet roofing system is a three-layer installation that starts with a base sheet roll, nailed directly to the wood sheathing. The name “Hot-Mop” comes from the method of applying the hot tar to the roofing surface, which consists of using a large heat resistant mop.
